In Need
Emergency Food Network operates on
Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays
If you live in Charlottesville or Albemarle County, you can call us once a month to order a multi-day supply of food for your family.
Call (434) 979-9180 between 9am and noon on a Monday, Wednesday, Friday or Saturday morning.
Come to our distribution site at 900 Harris St. between 1:30 and 3:30 that same day to pick up your food.
Each order contains milk, bread, meat, eggs, cheese, margarine, and fresh produce.
Additionally, you will get canned tuna and chicken, canned fruits and vegetables, cereal, rice, canned beans, soup, peanut butter, and macaroni and cheese mix. Please let us know if you are vegetarian and we will adjust your order accordingly.
Baby food and formula, as well as certain special foods needed for medical reasons, are provided on request as supplies allow.
People with no kitchen may request special orders containing ready-to-eat foods and eating utensils.
Additionally, we offer hygiene items such as diapers, laundry soap, dish soap and personal toiletries upon request, as supplies allow.
